According to an official spokesperson, Dr Kidwai said that India was witnessing internet revolution and internet had emerged as a cost-effective medium of communication. Vice-President of V-Empower Saud Khan said that the site, first produced in 2002, was an effort to bring people to a common platform. He said that the site had directed emails from the concerned citizens to their elected representatives. Khan added that users can post the latest news and articles on the site to generate awareness about political affairs.
